The Scott Chamness Memorial Fund
Scott Chamness
Scott Chamness was the most prolific goal scorer in Archbishop Carroll history. In 1980, Scott led the Carroll team to the first Flyers Cup Championship and the first State Championship. He was the winner of the 1980 Bobby Clarke Award as the Flyers Cup MVP. Along the way Scott set several high school records that have stood the test of time.

"Scott was a tremendous athlete... He was hard-working. He had all the ability and was still willing to work hard. He got along real well with the other guys. He was somebody who was not pretentious. He was real level-headed." Paul McGeehan, one of Scott's coaches

In November, 1992, Scott's life was tragically shortened by a reckless driver. Subsequently his friends, family, and wife Anna started the Scott Chamness Memorial Fund. The Fund provides annual scholarships to Archbishop Carroll students who exhibit good sportsmanship, academic proficiency, and a true sense of the Carroll spirit.

The Carroll Hockey team is proud to carry on Scott's love of competition, dedication, and team spirit that he so well exemplified. If you would like to contribute to the Fund, please click below, or send a check to "The Scott Chamness Memorial Fund" c/o Archbishop Carroll High School.
